Cancard exists to change that. We protect patients, build understanding, and help you live with more confidence and less stress.

Cancard was created for patients and built through the community. If cannabis supports your health, you deserve dignity, understanding, and protection in everyday life. Our vision is simple: to stand up for patients, break stigma, and create real change across the UK by building something people can genuinely rely on.

This is bigger than a card; it’s a movement for safer public spaces, better awareness, and a future where no patient has to fear choosing the treatment that works for them. Where honesty is met with support, not suspicion. That’s the world we want to help shape, and with your trust, that’s the work we will keep doing every single day.

What is a Cancard?

Cancard is a medical cannabis patient ID card and support service.

It’s designed to show your cannabis use is linked to a genuine medical need, and give reassurance if you’re ever questioned.

Members with a valid prescription can also upload a digital copy to their account, which can be scanned if needed during a stop.

Medicinal Cannabis

We are pro protecting our care assistants

we will look to provide a carers card or designate a caregiver for those who require to be in possession temporarily to support a person requiring cannabis medicine.

We are pro clubs and community groups

we will provide resources to help connect you locally to groups who do amazing work in this area.

We are pro collaborations

we will sensibly engage with all stakeholders in this space to actively work towards the common goal of greater access in whatever form suits the needs of the individual patients.

We are pro GYO

we want to move towards a space where it is acceptable to cultivate whatever medicine helps you, we know there is healing and empowerment in self sufficiency.

We are pro NHS scripts

although this isn’t happening yet we will provide resources to educate primary and specialist care clinicians to help raise awareness.

We are pro private prescriptions

for those who can afford it we understand that some people will benefit here with legitimate, safe access. We will offer resources on how to find out what the cost of whatever medicine helps you is likely to be.
